Now you'll need someone to read through your story and provide essential feedback and editing. That's what I do.
How does it work? I read through your book with Track Changes on and make line edits related to:
- tone
- pacing
- wordiness
- clarity
- grammar
- word choice
- spelling
- punctuation
- inconsistencies in author's voice
- highlight any sections that are redundant, ambiguous, or simply unnecessary
- most importantly, ensure the book's order makes sense and doesn't require re-structuring or rearranging of chapters.
I cannot guarantee a perfect edit. Publishing houses pay editors upwards of $20,000 to edit novels and even they miss things, resulting in published novels with typos. No edit is perfect, but mine will be the best I can make it, and I will do my best to honor your hard work.
