I offer critique, proofreading and editing for narrative manuscripts between 1 and 100,000 words. I specialize in developmental edits—most of my background is in creative writing, so I am very good at picking up on subtle stylistic inaccuracies, errs in voice / POV, and other aesthetic slips. I like to develop a manuscript with an author, so expect a good amount of back-and-forth. I offer editing for stories, essays, articles, and blog posts.
As an editor, my goal is to intercept and perfect your vision for your manuscript. There is nothing worse than an editor who 'backseat drives' and converts a manuscript to their vision and aesthetics.
PRICING
All manuscripts between 1500 and 6000 words cost 100$ and will be completed within one week.
Pricing for flash / microfiction (sub 1500-word narratives) is negotiable, but please understand that shorter pieces tend to require more attention per word than longer ones. In general, I charge 40$ for flash (500 - 1500 words) and 15$ for microfiction (anything sub 500).
I always do two rounds of revision on every manuscript. Manuscripts longer than 6000 words are negotiated on a per-gig basis.
